DEVOTIONS

A collection of altered images from family photographs of my children visiting the Pacific Northwest, my childhood home. The photographs became a canvas in which to alter and create new meaning. Paint obscures some figures and objects to emphasize the children set in majestic locations or to isolate the landscapes. The painted photographs became small devotions of a cherished childhood in the wild west and a timeless connection and juxtaposition of our collective childhood experiences and connection to nature.
